They issue a decree that suspends dance activities, discos, cantaderas, artistic presentations in Los Santos

The district of Los Santos, under the signature of the deputy mayor, María Elena Peralta, issued a municipal decree, through which transitory activities that lead to crowds and contribute to the increase in Covid-19 cases are suspended.

Among the activities defined by the decree are dances, artistic presentations, cantaderas, discotheques (including those existing in hotels, residential complexes, private beach or field complexes), cockpits, irons, free ropes, sports activities, house parties, birthdays, weddings, religious activities, circuses, shows, folklore or craft events and all kinds of nightclubs (including those in hotels, residential complexes, beach or country complexes that are private, that require approval of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) for compliance with biosafety measures and the permission of the Municipal Mayor’s Office), for a period of one month, from January 24 to February 24, 2022 in the district of Los Santos.

The decree also establishes that the hours of non-transient or permanent activities in bars, discotheques, canteens, pubs, taverns, barbecues, casinos, gardens, jorones, clubhouses, recreational and/or gaming halls, betting establishments, billiards, terraces, bowling, restaurants with liquor between meals, where the regulation will only be for the sale of liquor, among other places, from Monday to Sunday until 10:00 pm for a period of 30 days, from January 24 to 24 February 2022 in the District of Los Santos.

Indicates that all commercial premises must strictly comply with biosecurity measures and with the permitted capacity, if they do not comply with what is stipulated here, a report will be made by the Justice of the Peace or compliance officer to the Ministry of Health, so that measures are taken, according to law.

It should be noted that violations of this rule will be sanctioned with a fine of B/.100.00 to B/. 1,000.00 or its conversion into arrest, according to law.

The decree will take effect from this Monday, January 24, for a month.
