Authorities in Havana on Thursday told the health directors of the municipalities to intensify the digitization process of those vaccinated, given the proximity of the normalization of airport services.

According to the local newspaper, Tribuna de La Habana, at a meeting of the Temporary Work Group in the capital it was reported that the registration of these data in the Higia Andariego computer system allows each citizen to have their certification or digital passport that endorses their condition. of subject immunized with all three doses.

Dr. Nilda Roca Menéndez, provincial deputy director of Health, specified that the territories with the highest number of pending cases are Diez de Octubre, East Havana, Boyeros and Arroyo Naranjo, coinciding with their status as the most populous municipalities in the city.

Regarding vaccination coverage, the official updated that at the end of Wednesday, 96.5 percent of the possible universe to be vaccinated has already received their first dose, while the second and third are at 87 and 75 percent, respectively. .

Currently, 80 percent of the possible subjects to be vaccinated in the city have already completed the immunization schedule, effective 15 days after having injected the third dose.
On the other hand, the directive reported, 192 citizens refused to be vaccinated, of them 168 under 19 years of age.

In this last group, a total of 118 have not been authorized by their parents or guardians, 29 allege religious reasons, and 21 are in the process of leaving the country definitively.

It was revealed at the meeting that the epidemiological situation in the city continues to be characterized by a low incidence of COVID-19 in the 15 municipalities, as shown by the figure of only 30 confirmed cases at the end of Wednesday, after analyzing 4,913 samples.
