MIAMI, United States.- Family and friends have identified on social networks the 17-year-old boy who died this Friday in Santa Clara from a police shot, in the midst of a riotous fight in the Condado neighborhood.
According to the information, it is about the adolescent Zidan Batista Álvarez. “May God have you in glory my cousin and may you rest in peace,” wrote Ledman Baez on Facebook, who accused the police of being corrupt.
The publication of a friend of the victim has also been shared on networks. “I only ask you to rest in peace, that they have taken your life at such a young age… Wherever you are, we will miss you very much,” he wrote.
The brawl would have started after homeowners went to evict a family who had occupied their property. According to sources consulted by CubaNet, the incident occurred in front of “La Latina”, a commercial establishment located on Estrada Palma and Ciclón streets.
Given the chaos generated in the place, the Police intervened and fired several shots. However, so far neither the authorities nor the official press have reported what happened.
