Pentón also indicated that in conversations with the relatives he learned that they were the ones looking for the disappeared, and not the Cuban authorities.
“There is still one person to find as a victim of this murder. May these Cubans rest in peace, Justice!” he added.
The people who have died so far due to the attack on the boat are: Elizabeth Meizoso (2 years old), Indira Serrano Cala, Nathali Acosta Lemus, Aimara Meizoso León and Omar Reyes Valdés.
After transcending the incident, the Republican congresswoman Maria Elvira Salazar stated: “The Castro/Díaz-Canel regime is solely responsible for these deaths in Bahía Honda. That is their continuity: they are the same terrorists and bloodthirsty as always”.
For its part, the Assembly of the Cuban Resistance (ARC) condemned this Monday “the systematic violence exerted by the Castro dictatorship against the Cuban people, and specifically the massacre of Cubans at sea, as they did with the March 13 Tugboat.”
So far, the Cuban regime has only limited itself to reporting the incident through an official note signed by the Ministry of the Interior (MININT). In it, it is assured that it was an accident and blamed the Government of the United States “which tolerates and encourages illegal departures from Cuba.”
Nevertheless, Diana Meizosomother of the two-year-old girl who lost her life in the sinking, told Radio Television Marti that the boat in which they were going to the United States was intentionally rammed by the island’s coast guards.
