They find the body of a soldier who fell from a wooden bridge in Caquetá

The Twelfth Brigade confirmed the discovery of the lifeless body of the active soldier identified as Daniel Trujillo Escobar who fell into a ravine in the village of La Temblona, ​​in the municipality of San José del Fragua, in the middle of the winter wave that is recorded in the department of Caquetá.

The events took place when a platoon of the Special Energy and Road Battalion No. 19 was traveling on a wooden bridge that collapsed.

“A group of soldiers who were in the middle of a perimeter operation fell into the creek while crossing an unstable bridge. Security protocols were immediately activated with the team and relief agencies to search for soldier Trujillo. Today we found the body about 200 meters from where it fell“, indicated Hair Ardila Robles, commander of the Twelfth Brigade of the National Army.

Likewise, the authorities carry out the accompaniment relatives of the soldier who fell into the ravine. The winter wave does not stop in that department. In the municipality of Solano, the Caquetá River overflowed its banks, leaving dozens of houses totally flooded, families had to be evacuated due to possible emergencies.

As for the municipality of La Montañita, the Ministry of Health activated a contingency plan after flooding of the local health post, in which biomedical equipment was lost.

“The mayor of La Montañita has been asked for the space where the Food Bank used to work, that in the visual inspection carried out by our Secretariat, It has some things that can be stored in the other warehouse and guarantee the contingency plan in that place in case we have a similar situation again. We are waiting for the municipality to pronounce itself”, said Lilibet Johana Galván Mosheyoff, head of the ministry.

Regarding the road sector, Invias decreed indefinite closure of the Suaza – Florence route, point that connects Caquetá with the interior of the country.
