They find lifeless mother and daughter in Haina

Mother and daughter were found dead this Tuesday night in the surroundings of Gringo beach in the municipality of Haina.

They are Mrs. Segundina Santana Martes, 55 years old, and her daughter Piera Natalia Santana, who left a 6-year-old girl as an orphan.

In an environment full of pain, tears and impotence, the relatives of the victims say they are inconsolable and dismayed by the loss of “two great women who did not deserve to die that way.”

They assure that neither of the two women had had problems or enmity problems with anyone, and that both were dedicated to their home and work.

Piera Natalia was a primary school teacher at a school in the municipality, and according to her relatives, just yesterday she had received some money, so she decided to go out with her mother to the supermarket at 7:30 at night.

They say that around 10:30 at night they found it strange that they had not returned, so they went out to look for them, but a few hours later they received the news that they had found her dead.

According to Mrs. Segundina’s son, Evenson Rosario, a video from around the beach shows that it was a robbery.

However, Segundina’s father, Mr. Rumaldo Santana, said that none of the deceased were found with injuries, so he prefers to wait for the autopsy carried out by the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif).

Agents from the investigative department of the National Police They went to Gringo beach to survey nearby cameras from the Olé supermarket route to the place where they were found.

The victims will be veiled this Wednesday afternoon at the Segundina residence, located in the La Colina sector of Haina. They will be buried tomorrow, Thursday, in the Monte Adentro de Las Praderas cemetery of the aforementioned municipality.
