A couple was found shot to death in a house in the Chaco town of Quitilipi, and investigators suspect a femicide followed by suicide, police sources reported.
The incident was discovered around 9:20 a.m. in a house located on Carlos Casco street at 300 in the Quinta 15 neighborhood, in the jurisdiction of the aforementioned district located about 145 kilometers from Resistencia.
Police sources informed Télam that a A 40-year-old man went to the Quitilipi police station to report that in his house he found his sister, identified as Dominga Soto (38), and his brother-in-law, named Oscar Gómez (60) in one of the rooms.deceased.
The personnel went to the place and found that Gómez had a gunshot wound to the face, while Soto was lying on the ground about three meters away, with bullets to the chest and right arm.
In addition, a shotgun was found in the room, police sources reported.
Faced with this situation, prosecutor Jorge Soto ordered the intervention of the staff of the Scientific Cabinet in order to clarify the fact.
On the other hand, the Thanatological mobile of the Sáenz Peña Fire Department was also present at the crime scene.
Meanwhile, the over-and-under shotgun with a wooden stock found in the room -which was in a good state of use and conservation-, with a cartridge and a served scabbard, was seized.
Likewise, the experts also found a second served case, caliber .12/70 and next to the firearm a bandolier carrying cartridges with 26 projectiles placed, the sources consulted added.
The investigators suspect that it could have been a femicide followed by suicide, although they were awaiting the results of the autopsies and other expertise to determine what happened.
