They decree provisional detention for the crime of attempted murder in Bethania

This Wednesday, the Judge of Guarantees of the First Judicial Circuit of Panama, Agustín Ortiz Ríos, decreed the personal precautionary measure of provisional detention to two citizens of 29 and 31 years of age, accused of the alleged commission of the crime Against Life and Integrity Personal, in the modality of Aggravated Homicide in the Degree of Attempt.

This hearing on control of guarantees, which was held at the facilities of the Accusatory Penal System (SPA) of Plaza Ágora, in which the Judge stated that the personal precautionary measure imposed was necessary and proportional to the nature of the act; coupled with procedural risks such as: the danger of affecting evidence, danger to the community due to the nature of the event and danger to the victims and their families.

Previously, the arrest was legalized and the formulation of the indictment made by the Public Ministry, which was represented by the Prosecutor Miguel Eduardo Vega, was considered presented. Likewise, the Private Technical Defenders of the accused participated in this hearing, which was represented by Lawyers Abdiel Sánchez and Reymundo González. While the Public Defense of Victims of Crime was in charge of Ms. Elda Quintero.

This event took place, on October 28, in the village of Bethania, on Calle 61 Oeste.
