Regarding the election of the rector of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV)the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Madurocongratulated the anthropologist Victor Ragowho reached the majority of votes in the second round of the elections held on June 30, after 16 years of denying the possibility of electing new rectory teams.

“There is a great job to be done, the national government has recovered from the UCV even in the midst of criminal sanctions, which is an example presented in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco)as part of the rehabilitation of the artistic and architectural jewel such as the University City and the University Hospital of Caracas», emphasized the national president.

Likewise, the Head of State urged the Executive Vice President, delcy rodriguezto meet with the rector Víctor Rago, to establish coordination mechanisms to deepen the comprehensive recovery of the UCV and establish future recovery plans, due to the collapse and neglect caused during the management of the former rector Cecilia Garcia Arocha.
