They confirm a 30-year sentence for a man who abused his nephew and then killed him

Hoy Paraguay

Two brothers were sentenced to prison after being found guilty of the systematic sexual abuse of a girl, who was orphaned and cared for by one of them, since she was her mother’s partner.

The Public Ministry, represented by prosecutor Diana Gómez, obtained a 20-year prison sentence for the stepfather who systematically abused his stepdaughter, who is currently 14 years old.

Meanwhile, the accused’s brother (a blind person), who also sexually assaulted the victim, was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

The oral and public trial – which concluded yesterday in the Judiciary of Ciudad del Este – fully demonstrated that the stepfather abused the girl from a very young age.

The details indicate that she and her mother lived with the man since he was 5 years old, in a house located in the district of Juan León Mallorquín.

After the woman’s death, the subject continued to subject her repeatedly, since she had been left helpless. It was also shown that he offered the girl to her friends for sex in exchange for money.

In turn, the visually impaired man took advantage of the times that the victim accompanied him to Minga Guazú and Ciudad del Este, since he cannot move on his own, to offer him gifts in exchange for having sexual relations.

The Sentencing Court that issued the ruling was presided over by Judge Fabio Aguilar and made up of magistrates Serafín González and Vitalia Duarte.
