They condemn a man killed by the Air Force in Gualey

The First Collegiate Court of the National District imposed a sentence of 30 years in prison on a man who, along with three others, killed a air force satin Dominican Republic (FAD) during an assault, in August 2016.

Miniel David Peña Pichardo, who must serve his sentence in La Victoria prison, was sentenced after the Public Ministry established his link to the event in which the private lost his life. Pedro Heify Perezwhich occurred on the Francisco del Rosario Sánchez bridge, in the sector Gualeyof the National District.

The National District Prosecutor’s Office established in the accusatory file that Peña Pichardo was associated with Ángelo Miguel Morrillo (Chan) and Juan Alberto Tejada (Danny), damned by the same court to a sentence of 20 years in 2017, and to Julio César Abreu (Bobote), who was sentenced by the Third Collegiate Court to 30 years in 2019.

When the group of robbers approached, the private was changing a tire with a cousin and a friend. Tejada realized that the soldier had a weapon and shot him, for which he died later when he was receiving care at a hospital.

Tejada was also injured and the other robbers fled. Peña Pichardo was arrested in August 2020, after being a fugitive from justice for more than five years. His behavior was described by the Public Ministry as an association of malefactors, homicide and attempted robbery.
