Prior to the March of Silence, the FEUU carried out an intervention on the steps of the UDELAR with the photographs of the disappeared detainees in the framework of State terrorism.

The intervention or “honor guard” took place hours before the 27th March of Silence that will begin in Montevideo at 7:00 p.m. from Rivera and Jackson to Plaza Libertad, under the slogan: “Where are they? The truth is still hidden. It is the responsibility of the State”. But demonstrations will also be held in cities inside and outside the country.

The date recalls the murders of Zelmar Michelini, Héctor Gutiérrez Ruiz, William Whitelaw and Rosario Barredo, and the disappearance of Manuel Liberoff, in Buenos Aires and calls for truth and justice for the 197 disappeared, many of them in the framework of the Condor Plan of repressive coordination of the dictatorships of the Southern Cone in the mid-1970s and 1980s.
