A new mobilization in call for a democratization of the judiciary and calling for the resignation of the members of the Supreme Court of Justice is held from noon in Parque Centenario, convened by Judge Juan Ramos Padilla and the Buenos Aires official and Buenos Aires Peronist leader, Jorge Rachidamong others, with the support of social sectors, trade unions and the Political, Social and Trade Union Movement First the Homeland, among others, spokesmen for the call told Télam.

“These are difficult times in Argentina, where we have to be strong and united, and that is why we are convening for Parque Centenario, behind the mast that is in Díaz Vélez and Leopoldo Marechal. We continue to organize against this judicial mafia that is coming permanently attacking democracy,” said Ramos Padilla, head of the Oral Criminal Court 29, in statements to Télam.

“In Argentina, democracy is wounded by this justice; the coup d’état has already been consummated. They, those of Justice, already have a power and next year they will stay with the others through the votes”he added.

In the middle of last May, Ramos Padilla had called for a similar mobilization in front of the Palace of Courts, where the Supreme Court of Justice is based, an act that had the support of union sectors of the CGT and the CTA, organizations of human rights and social movements.

In this context, Ramos Padilla harshly criticized the legal officials who “have been attacking” Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

Previously, on February 1, another mobilization was carried out with the slogan “Democratize Justice” and to demand “the end of lawfare”, where they also demanded a “comprehensive reform of the Judiciary”.

For his part, in statements to Radio Télam, the health doctor and Peronist leader Jorge Rachid considered that “This Supreme Court has weakened democracy and is in deep disrepute.”

“We call to begin a series of protests that will be periodic in CABA to explain to neighbors and compatriots what is happening with Argentine justice,” said Rachid, adviser to the Buenos Aires Ministry of Health.
