Agro Rural announced the cancellation of the purchase order for urea “in safeguarding the interests of the State and the sustainability of the agricultural activities of the country’s producing families.”
Through a statement, he pointed out that the State “has other more efficient mechanisms to meet the demand for fertilizers by farmers.” One of those mechanisms, he specified, is the Fertiabono.
“At the same time, the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation continues with the urgent and immediate attention to the demand for fertilizers from small producers through Fertiabono,” he said.
To date, the bonus for farmers has benefited 264,000 farmers with an amount of S/386 million.
