“Education should not be separated from values, ethics and morals if we want to have a better society”, considered the journalist Francisca Ramirez when calling on the Dominican authorities to include the subject Moral and civic at all levels of the national education system.

In this way, the country would have students with a more integral orientation and conscious of their personality in their way of thinking and acting at the moment of take decisions.

“So that the school community learns to be interested in the acceptance of the norms and rules established by society to guarantee social peace and harmony among its citizens and act reflexively assuming the fundamental principles and values ​​of justice, equality, equity , honesty, tolerance, freedom and solidarity”, emphasized the renowned professional.

Ramírez made the call to the Minister of Education, angel hernandezas part of the celebration of the 27th anniversary of his radio program Comunicación y Democracia, which has been broadcast uninterruptedly from Monday to Friday since 1995 through HIJB, the radio division of Teleantilles.

For a better society

The producer and host of Communication and Democracy He recalled that as part of the commitment assumed by the radio space, they have remained firm in their work of informing, educating and entertaining, so they always try to make their contribution to building an increasingly better society.

In this sense, he highlighted the numerous orientation campaigns for his audience that they have carried out since 1995, such as his permanent defense of women, girls, boys, adolescents and the elderly.

He also cited the campaigns on the promotion of rights of the deaf or hearing impaired and of the blind; the use of the belt, the protective helmet, as well as the non-extraction of materials from the country’s hydrographic basins.

Likewise, on the defense of the environment, saving water, responsible use of the media, family unity, self-esteem, knowledge of the Constitution and the use of a mask.

Francisca Ramírez thanked the company and loyalty of her audience, especially those who make up the listeners clubcreated in 2015.
