They call applicants for TSJE ministers

The Council of the Judiciary called for a contest to integrate the lists for two ministers of the Superior Court of Electoral Justice (TSJE). The application period will be from February 27 to March 28.

In this period of time, the interested parties must present their documentation in person at the secretariat of the Council of the Judiciary. The Council is located on Avenida Mariscal López 410 corner Pa’i Pérez. The General Secretariat is open from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Juan Bartolomé “Ancho” Ramírez, a national senator for the PLRA, and one of the applicants for the vacancies, stated that he is collecting all his academic papers to present them next week.

“There are some new demands that I have to meet. One of them is that the documents must be originals and that they must have the MEC apostille. Once I have everything in order, I will present it, “he said.

He affirmed that for 3 years he has had aspirations for this position and that it is a liberal quota that Zambonini will leave.

“I was a teacher, I have two master’s degrees and a doctorate. I also have 25 years of political experience. This will be a political decision. I hope to gather the consent and sympathy of the senators,” she commented.

He finally said that although the position of minister of the TSJE has a well-regulated jurisdictional base, at the same time it requires a political profile.
“I think I can be an important leader in an institution that is always evolving,” he concluded.

TWO VACANCES
The Superior Court of Electoral Justice (TSJE) will have two vacancies this year. They are Vice President Alberto Ramírez Zambonini, and member María Elena Wapenka. The former will turn 75 on April 22. While the minister will reach that age on the following May 14.

At the end of the application period, the knowledge exams will begin, possibly during the first days of April. Then, the hearings will be in the middle of the same month. In this way, at the end of April there will already be a list of candidates to replace Zambonini. While in mid-May there will already be a shortlist to replace Wapenka.

APPLICANTS
In addition to Ramírez, the other candidates to replace Zambonini are the liberal senators, Hermelinda Alvarenga and Fernando Silva Facetti. While to replace Wapenka appear Emilio Camacho, legal adviser of the Guasu Front and María Victoria Rivas, former candidate for senator of the Patria Querida party.
