The Executive and Legislative authorities avoided referring to the report of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) that determines that the Government of Evo Morales ordered the executions and torture at the Hotel Las Américas in 2009. “As far as I have preliminary knowledge, the report (of the IACHR) at no time indicates that a trial should be initiated against the brother, former president Evo Morales,” said the Minister of the Presidency, María Nela Prada, during a press conference. in Santa Cruz.

In accordance with the official discourse, the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Freddy Mamani (MAS), stated that the Ministries of Justice and Foreign Relations are in charge of analyzing the document and communicating the Government’s position.

The Commission’s report, published by EL DEBER, mentions four recommendations for the country, among which is a trial against those responsible for the extrajudicial execution of three people to avoid a trial of the State in the International Court of Human Rights.
