The federal judge of La Plata Ernesto Kreplak, in charge of the investigation of the Buenos Aires judicial table aimed at putting together cases against unionists, asked the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI) to report if the former governor María Eugenia Vidal received an encrypted or satellite phone and, if so, if he returned it to that body, court sources reported this Thursday.
Furthermore, the magistrate cited as witnesses former officials of Banco Provincia, where a meeting was held in 2017 that was recorded on video in which there was talk of setting up cases against trade unionists.
The judge’s official letter asks the AFI to “report – after lifting the security classification in accordance with Title V of Law 25,520 – if there are records of that body that show that María Eugenia Vidal has been assigned a device of encrypted or satellite telephony and, if applicable, ask them to indicate the subscriber number of the same and if it was returned to the AFI”.
For it, ordered that “the Buenos Aires SOUTH Criminal Intelligence Squadron of the National Gendarmerie be authorized to process it.”
He also maintained that “in view of what was reported by the Ministry of Labor (Bonaerense) (…) it is noted that the telephone numbers provided as landlines would have fewer digits than the usual ones” for which he required that portfolio to ” ratify or rectify such information”.
