They ask for definitive solutions in public health in the face of improvisations

Dr. Tomás Mateo Balmelli, an infectious disease pediatrician, indicated that improvisations in public health should end.

According to the infectologist and pediatrician Tomás Mateo Balmelli, we have experienced the increase in respiratory cases all our lives at this time of year, for which he expressed that a fundamental structural solution must be sought with definitive measures.

The doctor told the channel Gen – Nación Media that every year we suffer from health stress and the country, which according to him lives on improvisations, does not offer education, medicines or infrastructure.

“We have to find a structural solution and the only solution is to strengthen the health system, build more hospitals, have more therapy beds, more hospital beds, better educate citizens and work on prevention,” he said.

Regarding self-medication, he pointed out that it is contraindicated, but the population is not to blame because it is the result of what is offered. Balmelli mentioned that education and a health response must be offered to citizens.
