Four individuals who supply weapons, ammunition and explosive devices to the criminal organization Tren del Llano, were arrested in recent hours by members of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), according to military sources.
The Tren del Llano is a group based in the José Tadeo Monagas municipality (Altagracia de Orituco), Guárico, with cells in other municipalities of the Llano entity, dedicated to kidnapping, extortion and drug trafficking, among others. It was precisely in the aforementioned llanera town where the arrests were made and 97 cartridges were seized, including 38 intended for rifles.
In the San José sector, Carlos José Flores Marrero was arrested and a 12-gauge shotgun, twenty-four 9mm cartridges and seventeen 7.62×51mm caliber cartridges for rifles were seized.
And in Colinas del Orituco, two were arrested: Yuli Elisa Meza Herrera and Carlos Javier González Tovar. This couple seized 35 9mm caliber cartridges.
In another sector of Altagracia de Orituco, the soldiers seized José Hernández Reyes, who was carrying 21 7.62×51mm caliber cartridges on a motorcycle, two tactical vests, a radio transmitter, a binocular, and three Power Bank charging devices.
Another procedure of the military was carried out in the so-called Y de Guayabal, Guárico border with Apure, where they detained a woman, cataloged as a collaborator of the Tancol groups; that is, Armed Terrorists, Colombian Drug Traffickers.
The detainee is identified as Carmen María Villanueva who was traveling in a Renault Symbol, plate AA971GM. There the woman was carrying 43 9mm caliber cartridges, a 7.62X39mm cartridge and three 9mm pistol magazines. Those arrested will be prosecuted for illegal possession of ammunition.
