They arrested a player for brutally beating a referee in the Tres Arroyos league

A soccer player was arrested this Sunday afternoon after hitting a soccer referee at a time when it was taking place a match between two teams from the third division corresponding to the Regional Football League of the Tres Arroyos Buenos Aires matchpolice sources reported.

As a result of the situation in which the referee Dalma Cortaldi, 30, had to be treated in a health center, the subsequent match of the first division between Club Deportivo Garmense and Independencia, by Adolfo González Cháves, was suspended.

The incident occurred this afternoon at 2:00 p.m., when a the third division match between Deportivo Garmense and Independencia, by Adolfo González Chávez, the latter at home.

“At a time when the second half was taking place, the match judge Dalma Cortaldi (30) proceeded to penalize a foul, a situation for which one of the players approached and attacked her,” the sources added.

As indicated, it was the player Cristian Tirone, 34, from Deportivo Garmense, who was immediately arrested by police personnel and taken to a police station.

“After the episode, the match judge was transferred to a health center where she was assisted, while the first division match was suspended by decision of the arbitration team,” added the same sources.

The player was housed in a police unit within the framework of the case labeled “slight injuries and also for violation of Law 11,829 on sports events”.

Immediately after the events occurred, the head of the Aprevide, Eduardo Aparicio, contacted the victim, made himself available to her and announced that the aggressor “will bear the full weight of the law.”
