Congress must investigate alleged links of the Executive
Guasu Front senator Hugo Richer said that the accusations against the President of the Republic, Mario Abdo Benítez, and the deputy of the Executive and aspiring president, Hugo Velázquez, of maintaining alleged links with financiers and protectors of the terrorist group Hezbollah, must be investigated by the Bicameral Commission for the Investigation of money laundering and other related crimes of Congress.
“If the commission is going to convey an image of seriousness, it has to investigate everything, it does not matter who is the president of the Republic, it has to take these considerations, analyze them, and if warranted, it has to open an investigation of Mario Abdo at the same time. Benítez, make the corresponding complaints,” he said.
