The report from the Department of Epidemiology indicates that Panama has registered 868,796 confirmed accumulated cases of Covid-19 to date, of which 3,296 are new positive cases for today. In the last few hours, five deaths have been reported for a total of 8,267 deaths.
Those recovered from the disease amount to 830,567, of which 4,142 are added today as newly recovered. 14,767 tests were applied for a positivity of 22.3%.
There are 29,962 active cases in the country, of which 29,665 are in home isolation and 297 hospitalized. Those in isolation are divided into 29,622 at home and 43 in hotels. Those hospitalized in 253 in the Ward and 44 in the ICU.
The corregimientos that have the highest number of cases today are: San Francisco with 120; Juan Diaz 107; Bethany 92 and Bella Vista 90.
The Ministry of Health reminds the population NOT TO LOWER THEIR GUARD and continue to apply biosafety measures, such as the use of the mask, alcohol gel, facial screen in public passenger transport, hand washing, physical distancing and the use of of alcohol.
