Deputy Jose Horacio Rodriguez of the Alianza País party, stated this Wednesday during the plenary session of the Chamber of Deputies, that there are no guarantees that the prices of food that make up the basic basket will fall with the bill presented by the government of Luis Abinader, which reduces the tariff on some of these imported products to zero, but yes, he pointed out, that could put the national productive apparatus at risk.
The legislator for the National District indicated during his speech that Alianza País is concerned about the fact that the measures presented in the bill put the country’s productive sectors at risk, which would negatively impact the access of the population to food and employment.
