The Public Ministry accused Pedro Hernández of the municipality of Santos Michelena (Las Tejerías), Aragua, Pedro Hernández, for three crimes, including terrorism, according to judicial sources.
Hernández was arrested last Friday by agents of the National Anti-Corruption Police for his alleged links to the criminal organization founded by Carlos Enrique Gómez Rodríguez (El Conejo), killed last Thursday in Irapa (Sucre).
And on Sunday, March 19, Mayor Hernández was taken before the 3rd Antiterrorist Court of Caracas where the Public Ministry officially informed him that he was being investigated for the alleged commission of the crimes of terrorism, aggravated extortion and criminal association.
The court, headed by Judge Alice Hernández, accepted this accusation raised by the Public Ministry and ordered Hernández deprivation of liberty.
