A report issued by Panorama revealed that the president of the Council of Ministers, Betsy Chavezappointed his relative Omar Vásquez Quispe as adviser in the ministries of Culture and Labor and Employment Promotion.

The Sunday detailed that, On October 26, 2021, Vásquez Quispe was appointed to the position of advisor II of the Vice Ministerial Office for Employment Promotion, when Chávez Chino was head of the Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE). However, in October 2022, Vásquez resigned from the position, but only for a new appointment in the Ministry of Culture, a sector where Betsy Chavez had recently been appointed by the president Pedro Castillo.

“Appoint, effective October 17, 2022, Mr. Omar Segundo Vásquez Quispe in the position of trusted adviser to the General Secretariat of the General Archive of the Nation”, reads the resolution published in the newspaper El Peruano.
