"There can be no criminals in the Judiciary"

"There can be no criminals in the Judiciary"

Judge Juan Ramos Padilla stated today that “there can be no criminals in the Judiciary.”

Judge Juan Ramos Padilla affirmed this Tuesday that “there can be no criminals in the Judiciary” and maintained that this afternoon’s mobilization at the Palace of Courts is in demand of a “democratization of Justice.”

“We are looking for a (Supreme) Court that is of service and rules before the law and in favor of all Argentine citizens,” said Ramos Padilla, one of the promoters of this call, in an interview given to Radio Nacional.

And in that sense, he added emphatically: “This Court was never designed to serve Argentines, but to preserve privileges. Criminals must be removed.”

the summons It’s for this Tuesday at 18 in Plaza Lavallein front of the building located in Talcahuano 550, and it is a protest promoted by trade union and social organizations, leaders, officials of the Judicial Power and jurists.

Participating, among others, will be the co-secretary general of the CGT and deputy general secretary of the truckers’ union, Pablo Moyano; the head of the Central of Workers of Argentina (CTA), Hugo Yasky; the Minister of Territorial Development and Habitat, Jorge Ferraresi, and the comptroller of the Federal Intelligence Agency (AFI), Cristina Caamaño.

Ramos Padilla also added that during the concentration an act will be held that “will be simple”, and confirmed that he will be the only speaker, and he anticipated that in his speech he will make it clear that “there can be no criminals in the Judiciary.”

“You cannot wait six years to reach the sentence of a labor lawsuit. The same thing happens with the delays that are verified in the system when a person suffers an accident and must litigate with a giant insurance company. The judges want the members of the Court receive everyone equally, and not that they summon businessmen to eat in a very packaged club so as not to see the vulnerable,” he exemplified.

In this regard, he indicated that currently, “There are judges who do not receive the morochos”and assured that while “there are lawyers who wait for hours and hours to be served, others are served after 13 and with a coffee.”

“The call is for all those who want to improve the justice system. For those who are on the right and for those who are on the left. We must achieve a structural reform in the Judiciary,” he stressed.
