Theater day will pay tribute to actress Verónica Lynn

Tribute to the actress Veronica LynnNational Theater Award 2003, stands out in the programming of the Villanueva theater dayto be held in the middle of this month in Havana and Camagüey.

As announced by the National Council of Performing Arts, the day that commemorates the events of Villanueva, will be held from January 13 to 29 and includes the “Theatrical City Day”, an alternative to the 18th National Theater Festival, according to a report from the agency Latin Press (PL).

Verónica Lynn is one of Cuba’s great actresses and has successfully ventured into theater, film, radio and television, playing characters that have permeated the memory of viewers.

Among his memorable performances are his leading roles in the plays Santa Camila of Old Havana and Cold air; as well as the soap opera Batey sun.

In the cinema she is remembered in Remoteness, The Beauty of the Alhambra, Long Distance either esther somewhere. For these interpretations he has earned praise from critics and the public, who highlight the temperament that pervades his characters.

The Villanueva Conference program also includes a panel on the formation and presentation of the show Luz, from the Nave Oficio project of Isla Comunidad Creativa, directed by the actor Osvaldo Doimeadiós.

Similarly, the magazine Set, of the Casa de las Américas, will present its number 205 and the 2023 National Theater Award will be announced, in the central city of Camagüey, which prepares workshops, theoretical events and shows, as part of the celebration.
