The use of public services grew 6.6% year-on-year in August

The demand for electricity, gas and water registered a reduction of 3.1%.

The use of public services registered an increase of 6.6% in August compared to the same month of 2021, while in comparison with last July it marked a drop of 1.0%, reported the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec).

During August, and with respect to the same month of the previous year, the demand for electricity, gas and water registered a reduction of 3.1%.

Meanwhile, the rwaste collection had a rise of 4.2% in the same period.

For their part, both passenger transport as cargo grew 96.0% and 1.6%, respectively; and passing vehicles paying for tolls marked an increase of 17.1%.

Also, the postal mail service decreased 0.2%; while the telephony sector registered an increase of 2.8%.

Regarding the comparison with July, and in seasonally adjusted terms, it was observed that the demand for electricity, gas and water it dropped 3.3% and waste collection decreased 1.5%.

For their part, both passenger transport such as burden they fell 1.0% and 0.6%, respectively; and passing vehicles paying for tolls showed a negative variation of 0.1%.

Likewise, the mail service registered an increase of 2.3%; reported the INDEC.
