The center and north of the country continued this Thursday morning under a meteorological alert due to high temperatures due to heat and in some towns of Formosa and Corrientes were already registering thermal sensations above 30 degrees at 7as reported by the National Meteorological Service (SMN).
At that time, the thermometers in the capital of Formosa marked 29.5º, with a thermal of 33.4º, while in Las Lomitas (Formosa) they registered 29.4º, with a thermal of 32.8º; and in the city of Corrientes, 28.9º and 32.9º, respectively.
The temperatures were also high in Ceres (Santa Fe), with 28.3º; Reconquista (Santa Fe), with 28.2º; San Ramón de La Nueva Orán (Salta), with 27.8º; San Juan, with 27.7º; and Posadas (Misiones), with 27.6º.
Likewise, the SMN maintains yellow, orange and red level alerts in 17 provinces, according to the level of danger of temperatures for the health of the population.
In the city of Buenos Aires, the Buenos Aires suburbs, the north of San Luis and the south of La Rioja, the highest warning level is maintained, so it is recommended to increase water consumption, avoid excessive sun exposure, or in central hours of the day (between 10 and 16), avoid large meals and pay attention to babies, children and the elderly.
After going through this spring closure with sweltering heat, the meteorological agency anticipated that A summer with temperatures above normal is expected in the center of the country -particularly in Buenos Aires and La Pampa-, while the current drought conditions will be maintained with “a high probability” of registering below-average rainfall on the coast and north of Buenos Aires.
