The Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) scheduled for next Monday the discussion of the action of opposition deputies against the Federal Law for Revocation of Mandate (LFRM).

It is about the unconstitutionality action 151/2021 presented by opposition deputies, in whose draft resolution Minister Jorge Mario Pardo Rebolledo proposes to eliminate from the text of said law any reference to the term ratification of mandate.

At the end of Thursday’s session, the Minister President, Arturo Zaldívar, announced: I am going to proceed to adjourn the session, summoning the ministers to our next public session, which will take place next Monday, at the usual time, in which we will discuss the important issue of the revocation of the mandate.

To modify the LFRM, it will be required that the plan approve Pardo’s project by a qualified majority of eight votes.

Meanwhile, the highest court resolved the last 11 pending controversies regarding the La Boquilla dam conflict, concluding that the federal government’s action in delivering part of the water from the disputed dam was constitutional, in compliance with the existing bilateral agreement since 1944 with U.S. The ministers dismissed three of the controversies, since they documented that the municipalities of Chihuahua that promoted them are not located in the basin to which the dam belongs.
