A total of 73 properties -between parking lots and offices- were recorded preventively within the investigations being carried out by the Special Force to Fight Crime (Felcc) and the Prosecutor’s Office for financial crimes against four former executives of Banco Fassil intervened.

Fassil’s intervention by the Financial System Supervision Authority (ASFI) led to the arrest and referral to the Palmasola prison of four former executives. During the investigations, the Prosecutor’s Office requested the preventive annotation of the 73 properties, a request that was sealed by the justice system in a case considered serious and complex.

Likewise, several buildings were raided, including four of the officials who remain detained in Palmasola. The Prosecutor’s Office seized a large number of documents considered as evidence.

Complaint for alleged fraud

To these actions is added one last complaint, but this time against the former president of the Banco Fassil board of directors, for the alleged crime of aggravated fraud with multiple victims and legitimization of illegal profits.

The complaint filed with the Prosecutor’s Office bears the signature of the legal representatives of Manzana 40 Plaza Empresarial SRL

The plaintiffs say that in October 2020 the company Manzana 40 and Financial Group SA (Banco Fassil group) signed an agreement as creditor and borrower, respectively. The creditors grant $4.6 million in favor of the Financial Group that were to be returned on April 30, 2023, but it did not happen.
