The public hearing that takes place virtually to determine the electricity transition rates went from this afternoon to an intermediate room until tomorrow after listening to 60 speakers and reaching more than 1,500 people as listeners, announced this Thursday the National Electricity Regulatory Entity (ENRE).
Around 7:00 p.m., the ENRE intervener, Soledad Manin, arranged for an intermediate room to be held until tomorrow at 8:00 a.m., when the public hearing will resume, which is broadcast through the YouTube platform.

the first day began with the words of the Secretary of Energy, Darío Martínez, who maintained that “this public hearing is very valuable due to its democratic dimension and citizen participation”.
“It is not only the opportunity but the right of everyone to be heard by the State so that their proposals and demands are considered in light of the tariff review in progress”said the official.
Along these lines, Martínez assured: “The challenge that we take on as a Government is the economic and productive reactivation of a country that demands more and more energy, which must reach each sector of the country in quantity and quality.”
To its turn, the Undersecretary of Electric Energy, Federico Basualdointroduced the Undersecretary’s presentation on the first topic of the hearing, the seasonal price of electricity for users throughout the country, which was presented by the National Director of Regulation and Development of the Electricity Sector, Marcelo Positino.
For its part, the Controller of the ENRE stressed that “citizen participation is one of the elements that the State has to form its will, that is, to make a decision by listening to all the social actors who have a voice to make their contribution to the issue that brings us together today and that that is prior to the State’s decision-making”.

The audience was attended by representatives of transport and distribution companies, national and provincial authorities; of the defenders of the People of the Nation, of the Province of Buenos Aires, Chaco, Formosa, Tucumán and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
Likewise, national and provincial legislators, councilors, mayors and representatives of the association of electrodependents of the Argentine Republic, of the Commission of Residential Users of the ENRE, of the Association of Senior Personnel of Energy Companies (Apsee), representatives of the Multisectorial , SMEs, cooperatives and unions.
One of the recurring themes on the part of the participants was the quality of the service of the providers of the public electricity service.while the different defenders underlined the importance of control by the comptroller body.
For its part, recovered companies highlighted the difficulty of recovering purchasing power if there is an excessive increase in electricity rates.
