The Prosecutor’s Office awaits a report from the US to advance the investigation against Velázquez

On the afternoon of this Tuesday, the prosecutor Carolina Gadea filed charges for attempted intentional homicide against the young man who would have stabbed a teenager to steal his cell phone.

The accused is Francisco Torales Aguiar (23), who is being held in the Alto Paraná Police Department, at the disposal of the Guarantee Court.

It should be remembered that the criminal attack occurred this Monday morning in the Fátima neighborhood of Ciudad del Este. The victim was a 17-year-old student who was on his way to his school when he was attacked by the alleged criminal, who was carrying a kitchen knife approximately 20 centimeters.

The report indicates that the student began to run, but tripped and fell, then struggled with the now accused and resisted the delivery of his belongings. He suffered several stab wounds to different parts of his body and was finally stripped of his cell phone.

The alleged criminal, after committing the act, escaped from the scene. While the victim was helped by neighbors. who urgently transferred him to the Emergency Medical Hospital in the capital of Alto Paraná, where he received the corresponding care.

When considering the elements of suspicion, the prosecutor Carolina Gadea decided to charge the suspect and at the same time requested his preventive detention.
