The prices of fruits, tubers and vegetables decrease in the Merca Panama

Products such as onions, tomatoes, carrots, cabbage, beets, lettuce, fruits and others are found at good prices in Merca Panama, according to vendors and visitors to this retail center where products arrive from the different productive areas of the country.

According to the directors of Mercados Nacionales de la Cadena de Frío SA, the drop in prices is generally due to the season, so consumers are called upon to visit Merca Panama and take advantage of the good prices that are presenting at this time.

Among the prices that are some products are carrots at 3 pounds for a balboa, celery at 80 cents a pound, beets at 50 cents, green cabbage at 80 cents a pound, tomatoes 3/3 at B/. 1.00, potatoes at 60 and onions at 70 cents a pound, among others.

They point out that the prolonged dry season has had its pros in some items and its cons in others, but there is a good production and low prices remain in Merca Panama.

Eloisa Biques, said that her module is well supplied with many quality national products at good prices such as vegetables for soups, vegetables, legumes, fruits, so she invited consumers to visit them at their stalls and take advantage of the good prices.

Meanwhile, Luzmila Rodríguez stressed that she has a wide variety of products such as potatoes, carrots, beets, lettuce and tomatoes, among others, with reasonable prices, which according to her is due to the start of the rains.
