The president of the Senate Finance Commission, Ernesto Pérez Astorga from Moreno, said that in the ruling on bank accounts abandoned by individuals and whose funds could be used for public security, The request of the President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, must be incorporated so that the resources are channeled to social programs.

He pointed out that he has not yet called a meeting of the commission to review the minutes of the Chamber of Deputies on the matter.

He added that with the members of the commission he will analyze the presidential proposal that the 20 billion pesos have that destination.

Pérez Astorga commented that the commission still has other issues pending, such as ratifying the new head of the Tax Administration Service and approving the Income Law.

Jorge Carlos Ramírez, from the PRI, stated that the minute must be modified to give certainty to savers that there can be no virtual confiscation. Although apparently that is not the intention, it must be made clear.
