President Alberto Fernández received this noon at the Government House the head of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Massa, and since 13 has been meeting with the new Minister of Economy, Silvina Batakis, official sources reported.
“Massa came to tell him about yesterday’s session and the laws that were approved. Both of them are very happy for a very good session for the ruling party. They agreed to present the issue of the palliative care law very strongly because it is very important, it impacts in many families,” official sources said.
On his Twitter account, Massa highlighted this Wednesday the approval of the tax incentive laws for the Automotive Industry and the promotion of Bio and Nanotechnology, that were sanctioned yesterday by the lower house, in a long plenary session.

On the other hand, it was reported that the Head of State is now meeting with Batakis, while the confirmation of the team that will work with the new minister is awaited.

The president of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Massa, highlighted this Wednesday the approval of the tax incentive laws for the Automotive Industry and the promotion of Bio and Nanotechnology, approved yesterday by the Lower House, in a long plenary session.
“The Law for the Promotion of the Automotive Industry is going to generate more employment, more development and more investments,” Massa assured on his Twitter account.

Massa received on Tuesday, while the session was taking place, in the Hall of Honor of Congress, the head of the Association of Automotive Factories (Adefa) in the framework of the treatment of the Law for the Promotion of Investments in the Automotive-Autoparts Industry and its value chain.
Along with Massa, the meeting was attended by Martín Galdeano, president of Adefa and head of the Ford automaker; Carlos Galmarini, director of Institutional Relations at Ford; and Fernando Rodríguez Canedo, Executive Director of Adefa.
“It is not time to debate, it is time to look for solutions”added the leader of the Renovating Front on his Twitter account, also thanking “the support of the Smata Union in the approval of the Bill for the Promotion of Investments in the Automotive, Auto Parts Industry and its value chain, which seeks to generate jobs and investments for a very important sector in Argentina”.
Also, within the framework of the session, the Chamber of Deputies approved yesterday with the broad support of the main parliamentary blocs and turned over to the Senate the bill for the promotion of investments in the automotive industry, which includes tax benefits such as the exemption from the right to exports until 2031 and declares auto parts production a strategic sector.
In that sense, Massa highlighted the relevance of being able to sell “work, resources, and Argentine talent with added value” to the world. and added that, without a doubt, human capital is one of the country’s greatest resources. “We have to build long-term agreements between the ruling party and the opposition on important issues, linked to Argentina’s development.”
Meanwhile, the head of the lower house highlighted the importance of this type of initiative and concluded: “It is time to seek solutions”, while thanking the presence and accompaniment of the Minister of Science and Technology, Daniel Filmus, while obtaining the medium sanction of the Law for the Promotion of the Development and Production of Modern Biotechnology and Nanotechnology.
Finally, Massa thanked “the family members who were present for the vote on the Law on Patient Access to Comprehensive Palliative Care Benefits. Generating rights and relief for those suffering from life-limiting illnesses.”
The project, approved yesterday by a large majority: 218 affirmative votes and one negative, seeks to develop an interdisciplinary care strategy centered on the person, which attends to the physical, mental, social and spiritual needs of patients suffering from life-threatening illnesses and/or limitations for life.
