President Alberto Fernandez and the Defense Minister, Jorge Taianaanalyzed this Monday the results of the tour of the holder of that portfolio through France and Germanywhere he held bilateral meetings with his peers and toured shipyards to recover the submarine capacity of the Argentine Navy.
The meeting was held this Monday afternoon in the presidential office of Pink Housereported strong officers.
On the other hand, Taiana informed Fernández about the actions that were taken to eradicate violent practices that arise within military regiments.
“We have been intensifying the awareness campaigns within the Army and we have taken a series of more rigorous measures since the death of Second Lieutenant Chirino in Paso de los Libres,” the minister explained.
Likewise, Taiana informed the president about the work meetings he held with the Minister of the Armed Forces of France, Sebastien Lecornu; and with the Minister of Defense of Germany, Christine Lambertt, with whom he addressed the consequences of the war in Ukraine and mutual collaboration.
Along these lines, the head of the Defense portfolio also conveyed to the Head of State the advances in the work of reestablishing the Argentine submarine capacity, after his tour of the French Naval Group shipyard and the German company Thyssenkrupp.
“We had a very productive meeting with the president to deepen the results of the tour”affirmed Taiana after the meeting with Fernández, “with the aim of evaluating different options for recover the submarine capacity to be able to guarantee the full exercise of our sovereignty and the defense of our resources“, complete.
