The PNB intervened in the Maiquetía Airport Service

The director of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), Elio Estrada Paredes, ordered the intervention of the Airport Service stationed at the “Simón Bolívar” International Airport located in Maiquetía, La Guaira, according to information obtained from that security body.

The decision was made after alleged acts of corruption committed by uniformed officers attached to the aforementioned service were publicly denounced.

For this reason, Estrada Paredes ordered the three coordinators of the Airport Service stationed in Maiquetía to be separated and placed under the order of the Inspectorate for Police Action (Icap) as well as the Criminal Investigations Division.

The open criminal-administrative investigation aims to establish the possible responsibilities of the police personnel assigned to the main air terminal in Venezuela.
