In his profile on the social network Facebook, the self-confessed Sandinista and paramilitary militant, Marlon Sáenz, known as “Chino Enoch,” begged for his freedom and declared himself “sick.” In addition, he points out that his arrest was “unfairly” and urges that “they speak out for help” because of his situation. Presumably the text was published by a relative of the prisoner, after visiting him in prison.

I have always been a straight man and faithful to the Sandinista Front and I remain faithful to my ideals, being a man with a good heart, dedicated to the good of the people, imprisoned on charges impossible to sustain,” Sáenz wrote on the social network.

El Chino Enoc, originally from the municipality of Condega, in Estelí (north), was arrested by the Ortega Police on May 18, according to sources close to the ex-combatant and critic of Rosario Murillo, Ortega’s vice president, reported to the media.

According to the complaint, at around nine o’clock on Wednesday morning, a group of police agents arrived at the home of the Sandinista militant and took him to the Estelí Judicial Complex, however, hours later he was taken to the cells of the Directorate of Judicial Aid (DAJ), known as “El Nuevo Chipote”.

The team of Article 66 had access to the judicial identification card of “Chino Enoc”, with number 011973-ORM4-2022-PN, where it is stated that he was charged with the crimes of “illegal transportation of narcotics, psychotropics and other controlled substances; illegal carrying or possession of firearms or ammunition; and manufacturing, trafficking, possession and use of restricted weapons, explosive substances or devices.

It is worth mentioning that, in the first instance, it was known that the Ortega-Murillo regime had presented a formal accusation against the Sandinista militant, however, in the system of causes of the Judicial Power they did not specify the nature of the crime for which they are prosecuting him.

“Chino Enoc” is a sympathizer of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN) who has sworn allegiance to the dictator Daniel Ortega, however on different occasions he has criticized and shown his rejection of Murillo, whom he accuses of being a “usurper” who the Sandinista party has been stolen.

On May 16, “Chino Enoch” had denounced on his social networks the siege by the Ortega Police, to the point that they would not even let him leave his house, so at that time he declared himself a prisoner under the regime. of house arrest.
