About the hour! Tacuary strikes at Saxony and defeats Olympias

In the match on date 4 of the Closing Tournament, Tacuary hit Defensores del Chaco and defeated Olimpia 2-1 with an agonizing comeback this Saturday, thus achieving his first victory in the championship.

In Saxony, Olimpia visited a Tacuary who had not even been able to score goals in their previous presentations, so they started as favorites to win and follow closely in the fight for the lead.

And he started in a good way in terms of the result he was looking for, since Alejandro Silva opened the scoring when the match reached the 15th minute.

But just a few moments later (21′) another chapter was written in the famous ‘law of the ex’: Jorge Ortega overcame Gastón Olveira’s opposition and sent the ball into the fringed nets to make it 1-1.

Despite generating situations, those led by Julio César Cáceres did not adjust the definition again and wasted the chance to stay ahead.

Tacuary knew how to wait for the right moment to strike the right blow. And what a moment.

When the third minute of addition was reached in the second half, Hugo Iván Valdez made himself felt to change the history of the match and was in charge of scoring the goal for the agonizing comeback and 2-1 for Iván Almeida’s men.

With this, the ‘Tacua’ got his first win -and his first goals- in the Clausura 2022 Tournament, where he now adds 4 points to revive the fight for permanence, dictated by the averages.

Olimpia, for its part, suffered its second fall in the contest and, with 6 units, was 6 points behind the leader Cerro Porteño.
