The Mercosur Parliament (Parlasur) defined this Monday that the opinion on the expulsion of the Macrista lawyer Fabian Rodriguez Simon of that representative body returns to commission to incorporate new information on the case in which he is being investigated for alleged extortion of the owners of the Indalo Group.
In the ordinary session of Parlasur that took place this Monday in the framework of the LXXXI ordinary session in the city of Montevideo (Uruguay), the Argentine parliamentarian of the Frente de Todos bloc (FdT) George Eyebrows promoted that the opinion on the situation of Rodríguez Simón -former adviser to former President Mauricio Macri- return to commission to incorporate new data.
“The return to the Commission will allow the decision of the judge in the first instance to be incorporated into the request for separation of Rodríguez Simón Adriana Chamsarian and what was said by the spokesman of the Court, Raul Oxandarabat“, said in statements to Télam the vice president of Parlasur, the Argentine oscar laborde.
Likewise, Laborde pointed out that the return to commission of the opinion will allow for the resolution of the Court of Appeals that “surely also will reject the refugee claimthat is, it will ratify Rodríguez Simón’s status as a fugitive,” he said.
At the beginning of last month, the Uruguayan judge Chamsarián, of the 1st Round Specialized Criminal Court for Organized Crime, rejected the request for refuge presented by Rodríguez Simón’s lawyer and the case is now in the hands of the Criminal Court of Appeals of 1st Turn, which will have to decide in the next few days whether to confirm or revoke the decision of the judge of first instance.
Rodríguez Simón went to Uruguay in the middle of the scandal of the cause for pressures to Indalo and despite having an international arrest warrant.
