The Nuevo León Prosecutor’s Office conducts a search of two properties of "El Bronco"

Monterey, NL. The Attorney General of the State of Nuevo León reported that as a result of a complaint filed by the Financial Intelligence Unit search warrants were requested from a Control Judge, which were granted and have been executed initially on a property located in the municipality of García, belonging to former Governor Jaime Rodríguez Calderónwith the intention of locating evidence or indications of resources of illicit origin, in accordance with the facts referred to.

It transpired that a search was carried out simultaneously in the municipality of García and another in the ejido of Pablillos, located in Galeana, Nuevo León, where the official would have built “El Palacio Rosa” during his term (2015-2021).

The Prosecutor’s Office explained that these investigative activities have been carried out in accordance with the parameters established by law to protect due process and guarantee the chain of custody of the evidence collected during the proceedings carried out under the direction of the Public Ministry.

“In general terms, the diligence carried out in the municipality of García has not revealed any relevant findings as detailed in the aforementioned complaint, however, the investigation folder remains open,” the Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement.

“It is reiterated that the precise details of the investigation will be kept confidential, in accordance with the principle of presumption of innocence and the opportunity for the investigated party to obtain an appropriate defense in accordance with their constitutional rights,” the Prosecutor’s Office assured.
