The national head of Health and Comprehensive Care of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), Geni Hooker, guided the population this Friday about the impact on health of cosmetic surgeries, especially in women who travel to other countries in order to lower costs .

He specified that cosmetic surgeries are not without risks, because it is a procedure that ultimately can lead to postoperative complications, such as poor healing and infections.

For this type of complications, the doctor indicated that the Minsa uses an international standard diagnostic classification that allows the subject to be registered and codified.
