The Minister of Justice of Brazil, Flavio Dino, described this Sunday the Bolsonarista attack on the headquarters of the three powers in Brasilia as “terrorism” Y “coup” and assured that the Government will identify those who financed these acts.

“This is terrorism, this is a coup. We are sure that the vast majority of the population does not want the implantation of this darkness,” Dino said Sunday night at a press conference, after the security forces recovered the control of Planalto Palace (seat of government), the Congress and the Supreme Federal Court (STF), which had been invaded by supporters of former President Jair Bolsonaro who are calling for a coup.

The minister said that 200 people have already been arrestedbut that there may be more apprehensions throughout the night of this Sunday.

Previously, the governor of Brasilia, Ibaneis Rochahad reported more than 400 people arrested.

“I come to report that more than 400 people were arrested and will pay for the crimes committedwe are working to identify those who participated in the terrorist acts,” said Rocha, an ally of Bolsonaro who asked Lula “apologies” this Sunday for the attempted coup.

Dino pointed out that in previous conversations with the Brasilia government, the governor had guaranteed that security this Sunday was “adequate” and that the situation would be “under control”, for which he understood that Rocha’s apology it represented the acknowledgment that something went wrong.

“By making a public apology to the head of the Union powers, Governor Ibaneis is undoubtedly acknowledging that something went wrong with this planning. I want to believe that the governor will investigate the responsibilities of those who did not comply with their constitutional duties“, he said, according to the G1 portal, from Globo.

More than 80 buses with ultra-rightists had arrived in the federal capital on Saturday for a demonstration that had caught the attention of Dino, who had warned the governor of Brasilia of the situation, who, according to the Constitution, is in charge of security in The federal district.
