Day 1,028 |  Fight against COVID-19: Venezuela registers 24 new infections in the last 24 hours

A total of 24 new infections of COVID-19 were detected in the last 24 hours, of which, they are all communal what elevates to 550 thousand 740 the accumulated confirmed, with 950 active caseswhile the number of recovered stands at 543 thousand 956 patientsthanks to the free treatments guaranteed by the Bolivarian Government.

This was announced this Saturday by Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, during the customary daily balance offered by the Presidential Commission for the Control and Prevention of COVID-19through his account on the social network Twitter, @delcyrodriguezv.

He reported that the community cases are located in: Aragua (10), Nueva Esparta (4), Caracas (2), Yaracuy (2), La Guaira (2), Táchira (1), Zulia (1), Miranda (1) and Sucre (1).

The state that registering the most new community cases is Aragua (10), with active infections in two municipalities: Girardot (9) and Libertador (1), followed by the entities Nueva Esparta (4), Caracas (2) and Yaracuy (2).

In week 147 and day 1,028 of the pandemic in Venezuela, these are its general statistics:

  • Total infections: 550,740
  • Recovered patients: 543,956 (99%)
  • Current active cases: 950
  • Total deaths: 5,834

Unfortunately, two Venezuelans died from the Coronavirus: a 66-year-old man in Nueva Esparta state and a 75-year-old man in Lara state.
