The Buenos Aires Minister of Agrarian Development, Javier Rodríguez, affirmed that “fishing activity and maritime resources are very important for the province of Buenos Aires”, and remarked that for this reason he promotes “specific financing programs and lines for the sector that allow it to be in value and promote its industrialization at origin”.
Rodríguez participated on Saturday in the launching of the fishing vessel “Huafeng 827” and stated that the investment “will undoubtedly contribute to the creation of more jobs and, with this, to local and regional development.”
What’s more, the official toured the fish processing company July 14 and the Horticulturists Cooperative wholesale market of that city.

“The launching of this new fresh fish vessel is very important for the Province, since it will undoubtedly contribute to the creation of more jobs and, with this, to local and regional development. It also allows to value an activity of great relevance and enormous potential in the Buenos Aires productive framework,” said the head of the Buenos Aires agricultural portfolio.
The “Huafeng 827” is a versatile vessel, suitable for trawling and midwater fishing, which will operate from the Port of Mar del Plata.
With this launching, the first delivery of six ships that will be renewed by the Contessi Shipyard is completed for the firm Dalian Huafeng Aquatics Products, of the Arbumasa Group.
The event was also attended by the mayor of the General Pueyrredon party, Guillermo Montenegro; the Minister of Productive Development of the Nation, Matías Kulfas; the Minister of Agriculture, Julián Domínguez; other national, provincial and municipal officials; authorities of the Port of Mar del Plata Consortium; representatives of business chambers and trade union organizations.
