The Mexican economy will grow 1.9% during 2022: Cepal

The Mexican economy will register a year-on-year growth of 1.9% this year, according to the ECLAC (Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean).

This forecast is more optimistic than the previous ones, but it still shows that Mexico’s GDP would still be far from the growth levels prior to the Covid-19.

Additionally, Mexico would remain among the 16 economies in the region that have not managed to recover and would be one of the most modest advances, only above Brazil, which will grow 1.6%, according to projections.
