The mayor, district director, councilors and former leaders of the PLD, PRD and FP are sworn in in PRM

Dozens of former leaders of the Dominican Liberation Parties (PLD) and the People’s Force (FP), including a mayor, a district director and four councilors, joined the ranks of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM).

The act that was attended by former President Hipólito and Carolina Mejía, General Secretary of the PRM, was held at the Tenares Sports Center, where the National Coordinator of the Mass Fronts of the official organization and executive director of Mas Change, Freddy Fernández, as well as the mayoress of Salcedo, María Mercedes Ortiz, these last two candidates for the senatorial position for the Hermanas Mirabal province.

In the event that was organized by the provincial presidency of the PRM, in this province, the work carried out by the leaders Freddy Fernández was also highlighted, who on several occasions was applauded by those present.

Among the sworn in who are now joining the effort for the re-election of President Luis Abinader, are the current mayor of Tenares for the People’s Force, Emanuel Escaño; the director of the Municipal District of Jamo, Salcedo, Celso Núñez of the PLD and also former deputy Juan Roque Jerez (Roquelin), of the Dominican Revolutionary Party (PRD).

Others sworn in as political head in the Hermanas Mirabal province were the councilors of both the PLD and the Fuerza del Pueblo, Jhandiel Rosado, Marlenys Cruz and Gisela Cordero, as well as the member of Jamao, Francerda Restituyo.

Within the act attended by dozens of members and supporters of the PRM, more than 120 former leaders of the Base Committees (CB) and intermediate president of the PRM were also sworn in. PLDas well as others belonging to the FP, including the community activist Sandra Magali Duvergés, among others.

When addressing those present, the General Secretary of the PRM Carolina Mejía, valued the act as one of the few seen in the entire Cibao region, so the first thing she did was congratulate its organizers, in the person of the provincial president of the PRM, Domingo Adames, of whom he said that he saluted him for his attitude of calling for unity and working to strengthen the organization.

In this sense, he specified, that these are moments in which what must prevail is the desire to work so that the PRM and President Luis Abinader continue their upward rhythm and thus achieve victory again in 2024.

On his side, President Domingo Adames, in his speech, expressed his satisfaction for the great support that the PRM has been arousing in this demarcation in recent times, and as a result of it, today more than 125 new former leaders of the PLD, FP and PRD, respectively.

However, Adames called the attention of both the national and local leadership to unify criteria around what are the works of continuity of strengthening and unity, elements according to the political veteran, essential for the achievement of the re-election of President Luis Abinader.

Among those present, in addition to the personalities mentioned, were the national coordinator of education of the PRM, Rafael Santos Badía, Félix Hiciano, deputy, Amarilis Baret, Danny Hernández, president of the entity in Tenares who welcomed and Juan Villar (Guancho), among others.
