Referents of the shopping center industry in the region met in the city of Cartagena, Colombia, for the signing of the founding document that formalizes the creation of the Latin American Chamber of the Shopping Center Industry (CLICC). This, with the objective of representing the interests and promoting the development of the shopping center industry in the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean. The event was held last Thursday, April 28,
Through four lines of action: fpromotion of knowledge, relationship and networking, information management and recognition of excellence; The Chamber will provide useful tools and mechanisms, with which it seeks to position the region as a benchmark for growth and development for the industry in the world, as well as generate better conditions for its consolidation.

Today we join this great project that will be key to leading strategies that allow us to face common challenges and promote best practices in each of the linked nations, expanding its reach throughout the region.”, said Salvador Frech, president of the Association of Shopping Centers of Guatemala, Acecogua,
Through the implementation of the work plan, the nascent chamber will offer Latin American shopping centers, their tenants, operators and administrators, guidelines, guides and relevant information, which will allow them to accelerate their growth and potential, taking into account the particularities of Latin America and responding to trends on the global scene.
“Being a growth bridge between the different associations, organizations and members of the shopping center industry is the reason for the existence and work of this new organization, which represents the union of a dynamic guild, committed to generating value, growth profitability of the sector and the constant development that invites us to look together towards the future”pointed out for his part, Carlos Betancourt, executive director of Acecolombia.
For Glauco Humai, president of Abrasce, the Brazilian Association of Shopping Centers, initiatives like this reinforce the role of the sector in the development of one of the most important economic activities in Brazil and in several other countries, because, through it, we move a vast chain of entrepreneurs that generate jobs and income for the population.
